Emma Kinesiology Neurofeedback Maylands Bayswater Perth Inglewood Counselling

Hello!

Hello! Welcome to my profile! My name is Emma Craigie, and I am a Kinesiologist and Neurofeedback practitioner here at Pure Soul Wellness. I am a huge advocate of holistic health, and more specifically, Kinesiology, after I witnessed firsthand the benefits this therapy had with my own daughter. This experience led me to study Kinesiology and become a practitioner myself. I am excited to share the techniques that made such a positive impact in my daughter's life, and now so many others, empowering and supporting them to reach their potential.

My Story

'The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well'.- Hippocrates

Kinesiology harnesses the body’s natural ability and desire to find balance and heal itself. I have witnessed this firsthand.

What brought me to Kinesiology?

I was first directed towards Kinesiology five years ago when my daughter was only young. She was a fidgety 7-year-old who struggled to sit still and concentrate. We had taken her to an Occupational Therapist to be assessed and to seek strategies to help her concentrate at school. Her aptitude testing indicated that she was well above average in all parameters, in the 80th and 90th percentile and beyond, but this was not reflected in her school work. Her short-term memory was 9th percentile, well below the average of 50. She was struggling at school and began hitting her head on her bed saying, ‘I hate myself; I am dumb, I can’t remember anything.” I knew this was not normal and if this continued without help, once she hit puberty she would spiral even more.

My chiropractor recommended a Kinesiologist who had had good results with children. I took her advice even though I knew nothing about Kinesiology. My daughter was assessed as exhibiting signs of stage III stress, not common in children. We began July, and in October of that year we went away with a group of families from school who we had been away with the previous October. Two parents separately came up to me and asked what I had done with her as she was a completely different child. All we had done was the Kinesiology. She now danced everywhere. At school in two terms, her grades jumped from ‘at the level required’, to ‘above level required’ for a number of core subjects. Most importantly though she was now happy, the swings in mood had abated and her memory improved. She was no longer exhibiting signs of stress. Some five years later she is still happy and thriving.

I have witnessed the benefits Kinesiology can have in many others since my first experience with my daughter. These experiences are what led me to study Kinesiology and to become a practitioner myself. I am very passionate about helping others, and to discover a therapy that harnesses the body’s natural ability and desire to find balance and heal is what led me here today, practicing Kinesiology and Neurofeedback, and sharing the techniques that supported and helped my daughter.

My Background:

Recently I completed an Advanced Diploma in Kinesiology at O'Neill Kinesiology College in Perth. I have also completed Reiki 2 practitioner level training. I am currently undertaking additional study in Brain Integration looking at how the neurological aspects of the brain affect all aspects of health and wellbeing, and have explored further training in neurological optimisation (Neurofeedback). I am also studying short courses in Counselling & Communication to further my skills. Prior to moving into holistic health, I was passionate about teaching and the arts. I have a background in both adult and child education, completing a Bachelor of Arts, and Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Adelaide and have worked in Australia and overseas as a teacher. I worked extensively in the arts and have a Bachelor of Arts (in Performance) with Distinction from the University of Western Sydney.

For sixteen years I worked in health, within the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles, as an account manager, state sales manager, and national training manager and have a Cert IV in Training & Assessment from the Australian Institute of Management NSW & ACT. My work in the health industry has led me to where I am today, still in the health industry, however working with the body in an entirely different way. I am very passionate about learning more, and to be able to provide you the most up to date and specialised healing techniques.

Personally, I have a genuine interest in others and in learning what is important to them. I have a gentle energy and a kind heart. The extensive experience I have had in teaching, people management, and the health industry has provided me with a background in understand how others work and what drives them to change and succeed, and has provided me with a solid grounding in many health conditions and medicines.

I would love to meet you and discuss what you would like to work on within your health and wellbeing, and support the natural healing force within you to find balance and heal.

Yours in health,

Emma
