Sensitive and Health Information
Because we provide health services, much of the information we collect is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act, including health information. We only collect sensitive information with your consent, or where otherwise permitted by law - for example, to provide you with a health service, or where necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to your life, health, or safety, or that of someone else. You can choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit our ability to provide services to you.
Confidentiality (When We May Need To Break It)
Everything you share with us during Counselling, Kinesiology, Neurofeedback, or any other session is treated as private and confidential. The one exception is if your practitioner believes you may be at risk of harming yourself or someone else - for example, a risk of self-harm or suicide - in which case we may need to share relevant information as part of our professional and legal duty of care, consistent with the Privacy Act's own exceptions for serious threats to health or safety. Outside of that situation, your information stays confidential and is only shared as described in this policy.

Practitioners within our clinic who are involved in your care.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of the online tools we use, such as our website platform, email, and booking software may store or process personal information on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Direct Marketing
We will only send you marketing communications, such as our newsletter, if you have opted in - for example, by subscribing via our website. Every marketing communication includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us directly, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We do not use your health information for direct marketing without your express consent.
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies - such as Google Analytics or a social media pixel, if in use - to understand how visitors use our site and to improve your experience. Cookies may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing behaviour on our site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how the website functions.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes secure storage of physical and electronic records, restricted access to client information, and the use of reputable third-party platforms for our website and booking systems. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breaches
If we experience a data breach likely to result in serious harm to individuals, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act.
Access and Correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before providing access, and there may be circumstances in which access can be refused in accordance with the Privacy Act - for example, where it would unreasonably impact another person's privacy.
Children's Privacy
Some of our services are provided to children and young people — for example, kinesiology, neurofeedback, or counselling for minors — generally with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. Where we collect information about a child, we do so with the consent of their parent or guardian, in accordance with our professional and legal obligations.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.
